For the Aeta community of Kanawan, access to healthcare, educational resources, and essential services remains an ongoing need. Recognizing these challenges, the Rotary Club of Pag-asa, brought its commitment to Service Above Self to Kanawan Integrated School in Morong, Bataan, on September 19, 2026, for its Rotary Day of Service.
The initiative addressed community needs through a medical and dental mission, OB- Gyn consultations and maternal health education, and a feeding program that served 600 beneficiaries. Medical services reached 196 patients, while 44 received dental care and 10 women benefited from OB-Gyn services. Free haircuts were provided to 122 individuals, with four participants receiving hair skills training to help develop practical livelihood skills.
Investing in the community’s future, the club also planted 20 calamansi and 10 lansones trees, installed a Rotary marker, and donated water filters. The Library Publishing House, Inc. generously contributed 310 educational textbooks worth Php 187,000 to strengthen the school’s learning resources.
These accomplishments were made possible through the generosity of sponsors, volunteer healthcare professionals, the Rotary Club of Metro Olongapo, community partners, and the dedicated faculty and staff of Kanawan Integrated School.
More than a day of outreach, the activity strengthened the club’s longstanding commitment to the Kanawan community. By bringing together healthcare, education, nutrition, livelihood development, and environmental care, the Rotary Club of Pag- asa continues to live out the 2026–2027 Rotary theme, Create Lasting Impact, turning collective generosity into meaningful opportunities for a healthier and more hopeful future.
